I am a Harvard and NYU-trained psychiatrist in New York City who treats patients from adolescence through all stages of adulthood. I have special interests in mood and anxiety disorders, OCD, ADHD, weight and body image issues, relationship issues, sexual dysfunction, and sleep disorders.  I also have expertise in providing perinatal mental health to expectant and new mothers, as well as women hoping to conceive.

In my practice I see patients for both psychopharmacology and/or psychotherapy with emphasis on supportive, dynamic, interpersonal, and cognitive behavioral modalities.  I offer complimentary telephone consultations, and perform thorough in-office evaluations to determine the best combination of treatment for you.  Telehealth sessions can also be arranged for patients who live outside of the NYC area or whose schedules prohibit them from coming into the office.

In addition to private practice, I have conducted clinical research on a variety of psychiatric illnesses including depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, and anxiety disorders.  Before entering full-time private practice, I served as Adjunct Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Lenox Hill Hospital where I treated patients and participated in the teaching and training of medical students and residents. I continue to hold academic appointment as Clinical Instructor of Psychiatry at NYU School of Medicine.
